As we approach the beginning of a new year, it is time to focus on prayer to the only One who can make a difference in eternal destinations and lives on this side of eternity. Please join in the following prayer:
Thank you, Lord, that you allow me to come before you in prayer. You know all that is on my heart and all of the needs for prayer that are present before I even approach you. But you want me to come before you so I will know what is on your heart. Please open me to see. And please open me to want to join you in what you are doing in my life, in the lives of others, in families, communities, cities, and nations.
I ask you to open all to the truth of your provision for life eternally with you through the finished work of Jesus’ cross. Please, Lord, open them to see and to accept your free gift for when they step into eternity. And I ask you to open all who are prepared to step into eternity to be with you. Open them to want to know you as deeply as possible on this side of eternity so that they are fully yours in every aspect of their being while they wait for the train to Glory.
May each one of us, beginning with me, be yours. And may we fully trust only in you and in your provision for every aspect of our lives, both here and there.
Thank you I can and do bring these prayers before you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
