“My wife and I went to the home show at the fairgrounds last Saturday,” Stan began.
“Why?” I asked.
“We are thinking of doing some remodeling to the kitchen,” Stan replied, “and we thought we could get some ideas about who could do what for how much.”
“Get any good ideas?”
“Some,” Stan replied, “but there was something interesting that happened. Another divine appointment.”
Continuing, he said, “At one point while my wife was talking to some people about kitchen cabinets, I did some wandering and was kind of cornered by a fellow from a satellite television company who had a deal for me.”
“What was he offering?” I asked.
“Oh, it sounded like a real good deal,” Stan replied. “Television with about a zillion channels of stuff, most of which I would never watch. But he was willing to throw in internet service as well as a telephone land-line. A whole package, but he said it was only available as a package during the home show.”
“Did you sign up?” I asked.
“No,” Stan replied, “but I took the opportunity to tell the fellow about another package deal.”
“What was that?” I asked.
“That when a person accepts Christ and His finished work on the cross, along with believing in His resurrection, that person not only gets Christ, but he or she also gets God the Father. In addition, God includes the Holy Spirit.”
Continuing, Stan said, “A package deal. Now and forever.”
“How did the fellow respond to that?” I asked.
“He said,” Stan responded, “that he didn’t have time right then to talk, but he wondered if I could spend some time with him in a few minutes when he took his break.”
“Did you?”
“I did,” Stan replied. “I told him more about the package deal, and he accepted it.”
“Divine appointment. Indeed.”

Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. I John 2:23.
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be with you. John 14:16, 17.
Prayer: Thank you, Father, that you allow me, along with every other person, to accept and have all you provide though your Son. When He is confessed, each person not only receives Him, but also you and and all you have. In addition, because Jesus asked, you also send the Hoy Spirit to live within each believer. Thank you for the marvelous package that includes life with you in eternity when it is time, as well as life with you on this side of eternity. Please forgive all of the times I do not take full advantage of all you offer. And please, Father, help me in following your lead in doing so. Thank you I can and do bring all of these prayers before you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
