The main takeaway for each day this past week.

The full version of each posting can be found at www.waiting4thetrain.com

Note: Please forward this to friends, family, colleagues, etc. as a way to introduce them to Stan,  S. Tory Teller, and the conversations about faith, discipleship, and what it means to be a Christian.

Also, don’t forget that S. Tory Teller’s book, the 100-day devotional, Waiting for the Train — Biblical Food for Growing Before Going, is available from amazon.com, other on-line book sellers, and directly from the publisher at www.s-toryteller.com

Monday, June 26 (Only praising God for miracles?) — God is to be praised. Period. Is my praise  of God limited and conditional?

Tuesday, June 27 (We can’t follow if we are trying to lead) — The third step of discipleship is to follow. Too often we want to lead rather than follow. Why is that?

Wednesday, June 28 (What if it’s not convenient to obey?)There are times when obeying God gets in the way of what we want to do on our own, but convenience should have nothing to do with our obedience!

Thursday, June 29 (Maturing, not mature) — Are there any “mature” Christians, or only ones who are maturing? It’s a life-long process. Where are we with that?

Friday, June 30 (Just like Noah) — Noah lived in wicked times surrounded by people who focused on evil (sound familiar?), but he chose to walk with God. We can make the same choice regardless of what the world around us is doing.
