For many people, prayer is all about telling God what they want without any regard for what He knows they need. In Matthew 6:8, Jesus made a statement about prayer that’s not to be overlooked. He said that God knows what we need before we ask Him. If that’s true (which it is), doesn’t it make sense that our prayer should be to ask God to show us what He knows we need — for whatever?
